A wish list to create an in store user experience!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:37PM By now everyone is figuring out the "user experience" online. But now it is time to move past that...
Some people have started using ratings and reviews in stores, others have used videos from their website and moved them into their store. None the less, people are trying to make the brick and mortar look exactly like the website or vise-versa.
I have noticed the trend of wish lists on the web, and it blows my mind companies aren't taking it to the next level. How easy would it be!
Simply do this:
Provide computers instores with easy access to the companies wish lists. Have your sales rep do two things: 1) Ask the customer which products they are currently interested in. AND 2) Ask the customer for their email address.
The sales rep then simply sends an email, that will remind the customer about the products. On top of being reminded of their products, they will become part of the companies email list. It really is a win win situation.
Keep in mind, this is only if the sales rep doesn't make the sale. If they do make the sale, ask them to write a review online (which you also will have to sign up for emailing). Please tell me you have ratings and reviews on your website already! Please!
