The Game of Life

A good friend of mine Aaron Dignan, founding partner at Undercurrent, speaks on how we can learn so much more information if we didnt read in a book but rather learned through a game.  He also touches on some really interesting points on the topic of measurablity.

The 44th President... Is now in session.

He stepped onto the podium and he praised his words as though he were MLK.JR. What words do you remember hearing? Which ones will you retain? Was it the words Yes We Can, which were the words that he has spoke since day one. Or was it the campaign still belong to you... the people. He continued, but it doesnt stop now, you have now given us the opportunity for change to happen, To those Americans whose support I have yet to earn -- I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your president, too.

I want to know what you guys thought was the most amazing part of the night!

Who needs to be more desperate right now? Obama Vs. McCain

Coming into the final week of the voting process, I am just curious what your thoughts are on the elections right now. So, this week, both Mccain and Obama have done pretty big things to impact their campaigns.

McCain came out on the Larry King Live Show and basically said that Obama can't be trusted. He said Obama lied to the american people and he could be lying about a lot more. The other thing he said was he trusted Palin in the white house if anything were to happen to him.

Obama came out with a 30 minute infommercial that basically spoke of all the things he has talked about the entire way. But he added in a new piece for the people who were undecided.  The other thing he did last night was go with Bill Clinton to a rally and Bill Clinton supported him with some of the nicest remarks i have heard yet from anyone about Obama.

Of course all the polls are saying Obama is winning by an outstanding number, but don't be fooled, in 2004 John Kerry had a substantial lead going into the week of voting and we all know how that ended up.

So now I ask the simple question. Who needs to be more desperate right now?

Let talk!

Don't Vote --- Things Are Fine

Take a look around. Our world needs a change. You can be that change. Vote. And encourage others to vote. Grab a poster. Spread the word.

These are the words you read when you click on the following link. Things Are Fine

This peaked my interest so i decided that i would further investigate. So below is one of the many things that this campaign is all about!

I find this to be an amazing spoof. What great ways to get the point across that four more years of the same is just not okay. Every possible situation that we have had problems with over the last four year can be found on this site.

I would recommend at least checking the site out. If nothing else just to remind yourself of what Americans have been put through over the last 8 years. This is a short post but has a powerful message. Please take the time to look around.

Ratings and Reviews --- is it still that important?

As time continues to go by, i feel like ratings are going to lose their value. I was just on best buy.com the other day and i feel like i read the same comments for every product that they had to offer. It is either 5 star--- greatest product ever... or 1 star--- DONT BUY THIS!

This bothers me a lot! The point of having ratings and reviews is to better inform your customers of the products you offer, based off of other customers thoughts. Well do you feel like that is accomplished with reviews like the ones i just talk about?

So i pose this question to you. Will Ratings and Reviews eventually fall off the mark? Do you think they will fade away or has it become part of the user experience and it needs to be there?

Should companies do a better job of the order of the ratings that come it? That way the more valuable reviews will be place at the top of the list?
